Howdy All!

I hope everyone who reads this has a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I finally downloaded the newest version of Quick Time. Now I can view my sisters video clips on her photo blog site. Cool!

I told the kids that they could stay up and ring in the new year. I feel guilty that I didn't let them when it turned the year 2000. My husband has to work late on New Years Eve and I don't usually feel like celebrating much. We are ordering pizza and having chili cream cheese dip. Nothing healthy , please, and plenty of Tums and Pepto.

I have returned. The holidays were hectick (sp) as usual. It was fun to visit family and shop til I drop.
I purchased a new toy, a Sony Cyber shot U. Small and it has been fun so far. It is nice to have something to carry around that is not so big. My husband says that I must be collecting cameras like he collects rifles and other various guns. ( yes they are locked away tightly).

I did fix my photo site. It is at http://bonnie2.textamerica.com

Had a VERY MERRY hope ya'll did too!!

I came to this site to write about something specific. Then by the time I pulled it up I forgot what it was. :) I am old now. My brain is dead and needs some enjoyable stimulation. Holiday stress and travel are probably not the best thing. I can't get into my photo site, I have no idea what a template is or how to change one. Since Santa has already come here, I have the Christmas let down feeling, and wish I had my sister's "Joy of Christmas" feeling.

I have another whole list of complaints that I won't bother ya'll with.

I do wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!

Sunday - We were few in numbers at church today. Some out of town and some sick. It was still a good meeting. We enjoyed the Christmas Spirit and one anothers company.

Monday - I ran some errands today with my daughter , in town. My son stayed home. They kids were in constant contact with each other using their wrist band two way radios that Santa brought them. Cool stuff.
We will be traveling a few days this week visiting family. I doubt anyone but family reads this , so if I am off my blogging for a these days then my family won't miss much , cause I will be seeing them.
I need to get myself a tred mill. I don't like walking in weather that is not perfect. sigh* I am such a home body. It has been cold here lately, and I see how it will be even colder where we are going.

When the kids got up this morning Santa had come. (Early , by special request). The jolly old elf was good to them. :) They have been busy playing all day. We did go to eat out this evening at Golden Corral. Then we went to General Coffee State Park where they had special stuff going on around the pond after dark. They decorated with lights and we went on a hay ride and saw Santa and went to another cabin for story time. They also served free hot chocolate and cookies. It was very nice.

I was looking at my sisters photo blog and saw her grandkitty playing in the toilet. That reminded me of when my daughter , at about 18 months old, use to climb into the potty. She just wanted to play there, and swim or take a bath. I have pictures for black mail when she is a teenager. :>

Kids were off today. We went to Wal-Mart for groceries. Busy Busy Busy. I bought a bavarian chocolate cake. Not too bad. :) We baked cookies for Santa this evening, my daughter says she wants to make sure Santa stays big and jolly. Between cake and cookies, I will be getting big and jolly.

Today... I subbed the first half of the day for a second grade teacher... It was the last day of school before Christmas vacation, so we did Christmas activities and watched movies... Then I went to my first graders party.
Gee.. I don't know how to make this stuff sound interesting.. I think that I get my inspiration from The Dullest Blog in the World...

Tomorrow ... I need to go grocery shopping, shopping , shopping ... then I need to iron, iron, iron... Santa will be coming early to our house , it will be tomorrow night.. He will do that for people by special request... My daughter put on our santa hat and then put an old white diaper around her mouth and chin for a beard, and had nine of her stuffed horses set out standing in for reindeer , then she flew them away like the " down of a thistle" and I heard her exclaim as she drove out of sight " Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night". Right now she has visions of sugar plums..er.. more likely ponies... dancing in her head.

Friday - Went Grocery shopping... cooked for Christmas party at church... Santa came there... had fun!

Saturday - I actually got to go shopping all by my self... husband didn't complain.. good boy :) That night was my husbands work Christmas dinner. We went to a Japanese steak house 45 mins away, it is like Shogun ... it was very good! The kids got to go to our local Christmas parade with some friends from church... they had a good time.

Sunday - Went to church to be edified, it was nice... Took a nap in the afternoon... and then I am guilty of watching the Survivor finale ... I like that show for some strange reason.

Monday - Today.. I taught my sons fourth grade class , most of them were pretty good.. there were a couple that gave me trouble. My son loves to read, and during class today I had to ask him to put away his Social Studies (history) book , at math time. He was very interested in it, and he was reading ahead of what they have been studying. He loves that kind of stuff.

Today - Taught half a day of fourth grade. They were pretty good.
Husband brought home a Honey Baked Ham courtesy of the big guys at work. It is very good!!
I am at the moment drinking a milkshake... VERY GOOD!

The angel on the top of my Christmas tree is a fiber optic one. The wings change colors.. but the wheel that turns under it to make the colors .. squeaks. I don't hear jungle bells on my tree I hear the mouse that WAS stirring... :)

Wednesday - I taught in fifth grade the first half of the day and then helped out in the library the rest of the day... I like the library.
We are having Micky D's for supper tonight.. on Wed. the burgers are only 39 cents.

Got a new Christmas CD - Harry Connick Jr. Very good. I like his band sound and the style he sings the songs.

Tuesday - I taught in second grade all day.. different class, not as wild. The kids practiced for their Christmas play all morning.

Sunday, December 07, 2003

Sunday - Husband deep fried a turkey this evening. Very good...
Already doing too much holiday pigging out... I felt like sitting here at the computer to make an entry .. so I did.

Friday - Worked all day at the Elementary School as a teachers aide for a couple of third grade teachers. Graded papers most of the day and sold icecream in the lunch room for an hour and a half to the kids. Yes... they sell icecream all year. The lunch room had yummy strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Saturday - Lots of laundry and ironing , so far... suppose to put up manger scene outside that lights up and then going to eat mexican food. Husband went deer hunting this morning.. saw nothing again.

Thursday, December 04, 2003

Wednesday - Husband went quail hunting with big wigs from work... shot lots of quail. Came home with 18. Me.. I worked half a day doing PE. One girl got a front tooth knocked out, lots of blood. No problem it was the next one scheduled to come out anyway. Now all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth. My daughters two front teeth are getting loose ... don't know if she will lose either one before Christmas.

Thursday - Quick trip to Wal-Mart, spent too much money....Worked half a day in first grade. I like first grade. Came home cooked quail for supper, told kids it was small chickens (to get them to eat it). They liked it. Just watched Survivior, like the show. There is a dirty snake of a man you love to hate... he he he... don't want him to win, though.

Today Worked in kindergarten first half of day , second grade the second half of day. A kindergartener asked me today if I was a principal. :) I guess because he sees me everywhere. There is some lingering cold/virus bug going around the town. It isn't real bad , you just never seem to get over it.
The kids made snowmen out of tube socks today at cub scouts. They are cute. My son's has many eyes and he says it is an alien snowman. My daughter's has a horn on its head and she says it is a unicorn snow-woman. Ah.. .. what the imagination produces. :)
